European Infrastructure Outlook 2013

In 2012 European infrastructure investment suffered significantly from the region’s deteriorated economic situation. An unfortunate mix of poor economic growth, austerity measures, and the sovereign debt struggles that led to the international bail outs of Ireland, Greece, and Portugal have inhibited the direct capital funding that nation states in Europe can provide for infrastructure projects.
