Jon Mauck, senior managing director at DigitalBridge, was awarded Outstanding Individual of the Year in the Americas, with judges lauding his leadership in the digital infrastructure sector.

Judges said Jon has an impressive background and DigitalBridge is an impressive platform with demonstrable success in fundraising.

Jon leads the Data Center Investment Strategy at DigitalBridge. At the company, he is responsible for identification, evaluation, consummation and management of investments in the data center sector on a global basis.

Jon has led DigitalBridge’s strategy to build the third largest independent global data center footprint.

The DigitalBridge portfolio includes 6 different data center platforms – DataBank, Vantage Data Centers, Scala, Switch, AtlasEdge and Aims. In the past 12 months, his team has raised over $25 billion in capital to support the data center portfolio, including recent announcements for over $11 billion in equity for Vantage Data Centers and $1.7 billion through an inaugural ABS offering for Switch.

With over 170 data centers in more than 70 markets across 6 continents, DigitalBridge’s data center portfolio represents one of the largest portfolios globally. Under Jon’s leadership the portfolio now supports over 4GW of installed and critical load under development with an additional pipeline of more than 7GW secured for future expansion. DigitalBridge’s data center portfolio has announced more than $12 billion in capital investments in 2024 to support continued growth.

Jon’s portfolio construction also facilitates improved capital efficiency by allowing investors and lenders to match capital to the market segments and geographies that fit their portfolio strategy. It combines the benefits of a global business with the insights and competitive advantage of having localized knowledge and sub-sector specialization and insight.

Jon has more than 25 years of experience investing in, advising and operating communications infrastructure businesses. 

Prior to DigitalBridge, Jon was a partner in IO Data Centers, a privately held data center company, that developed and operated over 1.5 million square feet of capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia. While at IO Data Centers, he partnered in the creation of Base Layer, a modular data center solution focused on manufacturing efficiency to support just in time delivery for high density compute environments. He was also a managing director and the head of the global technology infrastructure group at Citigroup’s Investment Bank. In that role, Jon advised numerous data center companies on both strategic and financial transactions, including Equinix, Digital Realty Trust, Telecity, Interxion, Alog, Dupont Fabros and others.
