We are delighted today to be announcing shortlists for the IJGlobal ESG Awards 2024 which are now in their fourth year, established as the leading event to recognise developments in this field for infrastructure and energy.

IJGlobal prides itself on the peer review nature of all the awards we host and this year the judging panel was of the highest calibre, giving an international focus to developments from across the global infra and energy markets.

We always identify the judges on our awards and you can read all about them here. As with IJInvestor Awards (M&A and infra fund activity), the ESG awards are ALL judged independently. The transaction winners on IJGlobal Awards (greenfield and refinance) are chosen by the relevant editorial team, based on submissions.

Back in 2021, IJ decided to strip out the ESG component from other awards to recognise achievements on this front and give it the platform it warrants.

With some judges joining over Teams, but most in attendance at Judgment Day staged last week in the IJ offices, an afternoon was spent wading through 600 submissions (a record for these awards) with recusals imposed as required.

IJGlobal ESG Awards 2024 will be hosted on Thursday 17 October at The Landmark London in Marylebone.
