We are delighted to announce launch of IJInvestor Awards 2024 with the opening of the submissions portal for the event that is now in its sixth year in London, being staged for a second time in New York.

The event celebrates the best fundraising and deployment, as well as M&A activity across the energy and infrastructure sectors around the world at 2 ceremonies:

• London – Thursday 28 November 2024
• New York – Thursday 5 December 2024

The awards reflect the best infrastructure funds, investors and transactions from 1 September 2023 to 31 July 2024 – a transition year to align the judging better with the awards ceremony.

As with all IJGlobal awards, we have drawn together an international judging committee – all of them established professionals in the funds and investor space – to review submissions. We will identify the judging panel in the coming weeks.

Needless to say, judges who have an interest in a transaction or who have a particularly close working relationship with companies that are being judged (or indeed work at that company), are recused from voting on those submissions to ensure a fair and transparent process.

This will be policed by IJInvestor in the run-up to the Judgment Days – which will be held in person and over Teams on 11 September for the Americas awards, and in London for the rest of the world on 12 September – as well as an honesty policy for judges themselves on the day, ensuring a fair process.

All awards will have been chosen by the panel of judges – companies and transactions – benefiting from their market awareness and ability to spot the market-moving developments for recognition.

At IJInvestor, we pride ourselves on hosting what we believe to be the most transparent, peer-review awards in this sector – which (again to our minds) make them the most valued.

The deadline for submissions is 16 August (2024), with a shortlist of company awards released soon after Judgment Day.

• Metropolitan Club in New York – Thursday 5 December
