Now that all the IJGlobal Awards nights have all been staged, the time has come to identify winners in the global category – the most coveted awards presented by this publication, all of them chosen by the independent panels of judges.

To win in the global category, an organisation must have won in its category in at least 1 regional award and will likely have won in another – or scored high in voting across a number – to have picked up enough votes to secure this award.

To clarify, IJGlobal hosts judging panels for each region to vote (in secret) on organisations that have submitted in categories where they are expert. This voting is pulled into a single document to identify which organisations have impressed across an international footing.

To ensure transparency and achieve the levels of peer review that we rightly claim, the judging teams are all identified – and recused where there is a conflict – and they can be seen (in order of the events being hosted) here:

• Asia Pacific
• Middle East & North Africa

The global winners are announced at the awards nights – when they are in the room – and are (contrary to the importance of these awards) doled out at an alarming pace as they are the last to be handed out on the night!

The global winners for the 2022 calendar year are:

• Financial Adviser of the Year – Societe Generale
• Legal Adviser of the Year – Norton Rose Fulbright
• Technical Adviser of the Year – Arup
• Corporate Trust Provider of the Year – Deutsche Bank
• Ratings Agency of the Year – Moody’s Investors Service

It should be noted that the winners in the deals category are chosen by the regional IJ editorial members – again based on submissions – celebrating a wide array of greenfield financings and refinancings that made it to financial close over the course of the 2022 calendar year.
