It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of IJInvestor Awards 2022 – the fourth annual awards ceremony dedicated to funds and M&A activity in the energy and infrastructure markets.

The IJInvestor Awards – not to be confused with IJGlobal Awards (greenfield) and ESG Awards – recognises achievements in the infrastructure and energy M&A space and celebrates infra fund successes.

IJInvestor Awards 2022 recognise the companies, deals and individuals who make move the dial with the most exciting market developments of the year – reflecting activity from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.

The submissions portal is now live and we invite market players to make a case for why their company, deals and staff merit industry-wide recognition for their hard work throughout the judging period.

The portal is now open for submissions, closing on 6 October. The shortlist is announced on 25 October after which submissions will be reviewed by IJ’s independent panel of judges… leading up to the awards night itself on 7 December.

As with all IJ awards, we will pull together an international judging committee – all of them established professionals in the infrastructure and energy markets – to review submissions. The panel will be announced prior to Judgment Day.

Judges who have an interest in a deal or who have a particularly close working relationship with companies that are being judged (or work at the company), will be recused from voting on those particular submissions to ensure a fair and transparent process.

This recusal process is policed by IJ in the run-up to Judgment Day to ensure an honest and fair process, and by an honour system during the session.

At IJGlobal, we pride ourselves on hosting what we believe to be the most transparent, peer-review awards in this sector – making them (we believe) the most coveted to be awarded in this space.
