Infrastructure and energy recruitment firm One Search has this week announced 3 key appointments to broaden its international focus and industry specialisation.

James Paul (pictured right) has joined the company as head of Middle East and APAC, adding a more global offering to the teams based in London and New York.

One Search also announced this week that clean energy investment expert Michael Naylor has joined its ranks as a senior adviser to the board.

Earlier this year (April 2022), One Search brought on board Siv Sivanesan as co-chief executive to work alongside founder Dan McCarthy.

James Paul will spearhead the company’s growth across the Middle East and APAC, opening new offices in Abu Dhabi and Singapore this summer working closely with clients as they expand their investment teams, IR/fundraising capabilities and continue to build and augment management teams across their portfolios.

Paul was previously a partner at a leading global executive search firm where – dividing his time between Singapore and the UAE – he worked with investors including Temasek, Lightspeed, KKR, Warburg Pincus and several sovereign wealth funds.

Michael Naylor (pictured left) is a highly-regarded board member and private investor in a portfolio of sustainability focused businesses, most notably K Road Solar (exit to First Solar) and K Road DG (sold to Engie), New Energy Finance (sold to Bloomberg) and Greentech Capital Advisors (sold to Nomura).

He is also a non-exec director and chair of the board at Jupiter Green Investment Trust, a company listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading sustainability investing companies.

Siv Sivanesan joined One Search as co-CEO in April, operating out of London, with a remit to lead the continued global buildout of the firm.

He has a track record of delivering dynamic organisational growth, having recently spent 4 years with a leading global search firm in which he re-engineered the playbook for scaling such a business internationally. 

Prior to this, he spent 14 years with Accenture delivering major transformations across a range of industry sectors.
