In the debt market, alongside reduced commercial bank lending, we are witnessing the diversification of financing solutions and the growth of investments from governments, IFIs and non-bank lenders such as pension funds, insurance companies and captive finance companies like Siemens and GE. Pension funds in particular are likely to be major contributor to closing the funding gap given their long term investment mandate.
