Under the deal Petronas will make an initial cash investment of around US$2 billion, plus a further payment of US$500 million upon reaching a final investment decision for a second LNG train. It will also acquire a third of Santos' coal seam gas proven plus probable reserves and less than 11 per cent of its total 2P oil and gas reserves.
