A market which was sluggish in the second half of 2006 has been catalysed by a raft of big ticket US acquisitions and portfolio restructurings- such as the NSG Holdings Refinancing. Power bond volume in the first half of this year reached US$2870m, comfortably outstripping the volume reached for the whole of 2006 by $714m.
