IJGlobal Awards 2024 – Europe and Africa influx

Submissions for the Europe and Africa section of IJGlobal Awards 2024 are flooding in for what looks set to be the best regional celebration of greenfield infrastructure and energy in the calendar.

The submissions portal – which remains open until 6 December – can be accessed here…

IJGlobal unashamedly claims the title for hosting the single most established London-based infra/energy awards nights to focus exclusively on Europe and Africa and it’s already shaping up nicely… but there’s still time to submit if you have not done so already.

We believe that the IJGlobal Awards are the most peer-review in the sector, selected in the most transparent process to be run by any publication and presented at the most entertaining awards nights.

IJGlobal has already announced the London judging panel which (in alphabetical order) comprises:

  • Lucy Dale – Macquarie
  • Gayatri Desai – CIBC
  • Manish Gupta – formerly EY
  • Layth Irani – SMBC
  • David Lee – A&O Shearman
  • Lisa McDermott – ABN Amro
  • Cathy Oxby – Africa GreenCo
  • Lisa Shaw – Vantage Infrastructure
  • Jonathan Stevens – AEW
  • Anaïs Triboulet – DC Advisory
  • Daniel Tyrer – Linklaters
  • Bart White – Santander

The London judges will meet for Judgment Day on 15 January to debate the merits of companies that closed deals – project finance greenfield and refi – in that region over the course of 2024.

Judges are recused from casting a vote where they are conflicted. In effect, this means that lawyers cannot vote in the legal segment and bankers are not allowed to sway the decision in the MLA category.

The Europe and Africa section of the IJGlobal Awards 2024 will be staged at Peninsula London on 6 March 2025.
