Submission Guidelines

The IJGlobal Awards are a celebration of best in class deals in energy and infrastructure over the past year.

CLOSING DATE: 17 NOVEMBER 2017

IJGlobal invite nominations for the best transactions or deals of 2017 as well as looking to reward the companies that have been involved.

Each company may submit entries for any number of transactions that have or will reach financial close in 2017 AND you may also submit your organization for consideration for a prestigious company award.

All entries to the IJGlobal Awards are submitted online via www.ijglobal.com/awards

 

How to enter

IJGlobal will accept all submissions from any involved company for the Deal awards.

For the Company awards it is most likely to be the firm or institution nominating itself as we require a certain amount of information about that company however we can accept nominations from third parties.

Please note company submissions will be assessed based on the data held by IJGlobal but you will have the opportunity to provide supplementary information about your entry.

 

Categories

Entries for the IJGlobal Awards are split into TWO types:

  • Deals (split into sector)
  • Company (split into types ie Banks/Financial Advisors/Legal Advisors etc)
 
Transactions (Deal Awards)
Summary

IJGlobal will recognise excellence in deals/transactions in each sector and region, and its editorial staff, in consultation with the markets where they are located, will pick the winning transactions.

Submissions should demonstrate that the deal in question involved genuine innovation and moved the market forward. They should include as much information as possible about the circumstances and unique features of each project.

Who can enter?

Eligible transaction types include acquisitions, bond financings, bank financings, all-equity transactions, corporate financings, hybrid financings and even government financings. Additional weighting will be given to non-recourse project financings. Brownfield and greenfield projects are eligible.

Transactions will be considered in the following sectors:

  • Export Finance
  • M&A
  • Mining
  • Oil & Gas
  • Other
  • Petrochemicals
  • Power
  • Renewables
  • Social Infrastructure
  • Telecoms
  • Transport
  • Water

Please note: In some instances, IJGlobal will recognise sub-sectors (for instance wind and solar in renewables, roads and rail in transport) separately.

Eligible dates

To be considered, a transaction must have reached financial close in the calendar year 2017. If you are submitting a transaction for consideration that has not closed yet, you may submit that on a confidential basis, provided that confidentiality is lifted when the transaction closes.

Please note that underwritten or signed deals will not be considered until they meet their conditions precedent and are available to fund.

 
Firms/Institutions (Company Awards)
Summary

IJGlobal will recognise excellence of market participants by naming outstanding public and private sector players in their region. We will convene a judging panel made up of selected industry leaders in each region who will judge submissions and pick the winning firms and institutions.
